As the largest segments of the American population ages, acupuncturists and Oriental medicine providers will be increasingly called upon to help guide people into a healthy old age. This class discusses Chinese medical approaches to cultivating longevity, including lifestyle and diet, moxibustion, Chinese medicinals, and Qigong. Day 1 will review holographic systems as applied to acupuncture and then day 2 will focus on the use of advanced distal needle techniques to treat common gynecological conditions. This visit will culminate in a day of clinical grand rounds as local acupuncturists follow Henry McCann as he describes the management of a variety of diseases in actual patients.
